This is a 1974 Travco RV and has no damage. It runs and everything in it runs. I just put in 4 new Battery's and everything is working. the RV was my fathers he was the original owner has no dents, dings or damage other than age, all the glass is good and original, no cracks or chips. The body is in great condition has no leaks and the interior is all in working order with no damage. now for the bad news, the RV has two gas tanks and needs a small part of the gas lines replaced also needs new tires but the tires it has still hold air and were brand new when my father purchased them in 2007 that was the last time the RV was driven. The fuel pumps are brand new and were put on about 7 years ago but my father never got too finish what he was doing with the RV. The drive train has 70472 original miles and is equipped with the Dodge 440 engine also has a huge Onan Generator in it and it works very well. this is a used RV so it is sold as is. This auction is for a 1974 Dodge Prospector Motorhome. This Motorhome is Powered by an 8 Cylinder 318 gasoline engine and has an Automatic Transmission. It's runs Great, and Shifts through all gears nice and smooth as can be. It is 22' Long, and has sleeping room for 3 people (maybe 4 if 2 of them are skinny). The previous owner took the time to repaint the outside with a roller and a brush, and also sealed the unit VERY well with caulk and whatever else he could get his hands on. He also did a lot of interior work such as putting in new flooring, some new ceiling pieces, and also looks like he varnished the cabinets amongst other things. The dual powered refrigerator, and water heater have been removed and the vents for these have been caulked and sealed over (You can see this in the outside pics). It will come with everything shown inside the camper. The microwave, the refrigerator, and the tv all seem to work just fine, and so does the ceiling Air Conditioning unit. The A/C in the front is currently not working, may need to be recharged. There is also an electric space heater in the cabinet below the sink for cold nights. The stove works fine, but I think the oven which also doubles as the furnace (Duette) needs a new thermocouple, and the onboard propane tank is about 1/4 way full. The kitchen sink and shower both work, and the toilet flushes as well. The tires have decent tread, a couple are beginning to show signs of dryness but should still be ok. This motorhome has some bumps,bruises, tears, imperfections, and other things that I'm sure I've probably missed. Please feel free to stop by and check it out BEFORE you buy. It is nothing fancy by any stretch of the imagination, but it does look pretty darn good for being 40 years old. It will get you where you are going and get the party started. The rest is up to you. It has 81344 miles on the odometer, and I have a clear Title in hand. This camper is NOT ANYWHERE NEAR PERFECT, so please don't expect it to be. It has had repairs and modifications done over the years so please pay very close attention to the photos. I took very large pictures of this item to show the very best look at condition as possible. Vintage 1974 20ft Avion Cayo MOTOVATOR Motohome The AVION is a close relative to the AIRSTREAM & STREAMLINE travel trailer families. Although Airstream is by far the most well known brand in aluminum trailers, many knowledgeable individuals consider Avion of the 1970s and 1980s to be superior in construction quality. The AVION CAYO MOTOVATOR is a Class C Fully Contained Motorhome. Manufactured by Avion. Only 600 were made making them quite rare especially in this condition. The Avion Co began making pickup campers in 1965. After the Avion travel trailer division was sold to the Fleetwood Corp in 1967, the Cayo family continued on producing pickup truck campers & in 1971 introduced the Motovator, precursor to the modern Class C. Available in 20- and 22-toot models, the Motovator featured an anodized aluminum shell [sporting a 13-panel rear cap design so familiar to owners of mid-'50s Airstream trailers] and metal framing which allowed the mini-motorhome to maintain its structural integrity. These units were produced with a lifetime warranty from the factory. Originally available on a Dodge one-ton chassis with a choice of a 360 cid or 318 cid Dodge, 350 CID Chevy or 302 CiD Ford V-8 engine, the Cayo carried a dry weight of 8,245 pounds [20-foot model]. The spacious interior [6 feet, 8 inches, floor to ceiling and 7 feet, 7 inches wall-to-wall] was fitted with most conveniences then available, including maple hardwoods, a dual-battery charging system with 30-amp converter, 22,000 BTU forced-air gas heating system and sizable 5 cubic-foot refrigerator. Options included an auxiliary gas tank, 2.5Kw AC generator, roof rack and ladder, Therma San waste incinerator, water purifier and 10,000 BTU roof-mounted air conditioner [which raised the height to nearly 10 feet].
