Loft Motors vehicles are classified as low-speed vehicles, or neighborhood electric vehicles, and are generally street legal in nearly all 50 states on public roads with posted speed limits of 35 mph or less (you should consult your own local laws to see what rules apply regarding low-speed vehicles). With a top speed of 25mph, these cars have a range of up to 40 miles on a single charge (tested at max speed of 25 mph with six 12-volt battery package and full payload). The vehicles are battery-electric, operate on a 48-72 volt battery system and plug into a standard 110-volt outlet. What makes these vehicles so unique is that they can be recharged anytime, anywhere a 110-volt outlet is available; they fully charge quickly, in approximately 6-8 hours.
