Unlike most RVs that are comfy houses built on solid truck chassis, the line of GMC motorhomes were built to be as enjoyable to drive as they were to sleep in. They sat on a unique chassis, and were powered by the 455-cu.in. V-8 and front-wheel drive setup from an Oldsmobile Toronado. Forty years later, when you see one on the road, it's still unmistakable. This is what the future looked like in 1973.
