1986 Fleetwood Avion , Must sell. This 30 foot trailer with dual axles is in nice shape for a 29 year old. We've had newer trailers but none that felt as durable as this one. Pulls really nice. Interior wood is in nice condition. Trailer is mostly original. It has awnings all around. Bathroom in rear with bathtub and shower. Large wardrobe closet in bathroom. This is a 31.5' Avion made by Fleetwood. Trailer is originally from Florida. Has slide out. Couch in slide pulls out into bed. Full size upper room. Has queen bed up top. Kitchen in rear of trailer. Lots of cabinet space. Camper is in great shape. Has 25' awning that looks basically brand new. AC works great. Microwave works. Stove works. Fridge/freezer work. Never used hot water heater or water in it so I don't know about that. No reason it shouldn't though. Power Jack has been disconnected. I manually do it. It's not that hard. Trailer has a rubber roof and doesn't, and hasn't leaked. Never been wet on the inside. Floors are all solid. This is a huge camper. Needs at least a 3/4 ton truck to pull. Comes with Pro Series 15,000lb roller hitch. Have over $750 into the hitch itself. Camper has 10,000# GVWR. Blue books on NADA for $9,800 LOCAL PICKUP IN OWOSSO, MICHIGAN ONLY!! Vintage 1974 20ft Avion Cayo MOTOVATOR Motohome The AVION is a close relative to the AIRSTREAM & STREAMLINE travel trailer families. Although Airstream is by far the most well known brand in aluminum trailers, many knowledgeable individuals consider Avion of the 1970s and 1980s to be superior in construction quality. The AVION CAYO MOTOVATOR is a Class C Fully Contained Motorhome. Manufactured by Avion. Only 600 were made making them quite rare especially in this condition. The Avion Co began making pickup campers in 1965. After the Avion travel trailer division was sold to the Fleetwood Corp in 1967, the Cayo family continued on producing pickup truck campers & in 1971 introduced the Motovator, precursor to the modern Class C. Available in 20- and 22-toot models, the Motovator featured an anodized aluminum shell [sporting a 13-panel rear cap design so familiar to owners of mid-'50s Airstream trailers] and metal framing which allowed the mini-motorhome to maintain its structural integrity. These units were produced with a lifetime warranty from the factory. Originally available on a Dodge one-ton chassis with a choice of a 360 cid or 318 cid Dodge, 350 CID Chevy or 302 CiD Ford V-8 engine, the Cayo carried a dry weight of 8,245 pounds [20-foot model]. The spacious interior [6 feet, 8 inches, floor to ceiling and 7 feet, 7 inches wall-to-wall] was fitted with most conveniences then available, including maple hardwoods, a dual-battery charging system with 30-amp converter, 22,000 BTU forced-air gas heating system and sizable 5 cubic-foot refrigerator. Options included an auxiliary gas tank, 2.5Kw AC generator, roof rack and ladder, Therma San waste incinerator, water purifier and 10,000 BTU roof-mounted air conditioner [which raised the height to nearly 10 feet]. The 52-inch cabover configuration offered sleeping arrangements for four. If you've been searching for that great vintage aluminum RV then you may have just found it.
