My family has lived in this Airstream as our full-time home for the past 14 months. We purchased this Airstream in October of 2012 and spent that winter remodeling it. We hit the road May of 2013 and have spent the past year learning, repairing, and updating as we go. Now, we are expecting another addition to our family and would like to sell this Airstream so that we can upgrade to a tour bus. I am taking the time to give you a thorough description. Please take the time to read it carefully before you bid! Interior: Front Lounge: The front lounge was custom-made, using drawer pulls to allow the couch to convert to a full-size bed. The cushions were upholstered with grey vinyl. The matching cloth throw pillows complete the corner section. The underside of the window seat hosts the battery boxes and converter, which can be accessed by lifting the seat cushion. The Underside of the wall-seat can store your bedding by removing the velcro front-access panel. Dinette: This is the original dinette. It has been reupholstered in the grey vinyl. The drawers have been removed to conserve space and the storage can be accessed by lifting the seat cushions. Kitchen & Bath: The countertops have been painted with liquid stainless steel paint. The faucets & shower heads have been replaced with new. The bathroom sink and shower basin has been painted with white enamel paint. Bunk room: The original twin beds have been removed and replaced with a 5-person bunk room that was custom designed for my 5 kids. There is one lower bunk that is a full 75” long. The bunk above it is toddler length at 54”. The other three beds are a youth length around 63”. My kids aged 6-10 have no problem with the youth length beds. There is storage under each of the bottom bunks that can be accessed through the tambour or by lifting the mattresses. Walls & cabinets: The walls, cabinets, and tambour that are remaining are original. They have been sanded, primed, and painted with a white glossy paint for a clean, modern look. Lighting: All interior lighting has been upgraded to LED. The wall lights in the rear bunk have been removed and a ceiling light has been installed. The wiring from the wall lights has been capped, but is available if you choose to add wall lights. There are 3 switches for an outdoor step light, door light, and flood light. These were all working at the beginning of the summer and recently all went out. Perhaps the vibrations of driving has loosened a connection somewhere. We have not looked into it yet. There are small lights above the sewer dump and in the exterior storage that have never worked. Floors: The front subfloor, from the stove forward, has been replaced with treated lumber by a previous owner. The rear subfloor is original and had a soft spot in the rear corner near the bumper. We patched that small section and caulked the bumper seam. The floors are covered with foam garage flooring. We chose this flooring because we used it in the basement of our house and loved it. It is very durable and can be either vacuumed or swept with a broom. It is soft and warm in the winter. If you leave the vents open, spill, or find a leak, these floors take water without ruining them. You can easily replace a piece if it is damaged. The bathroom floor has been covered with white subway tile. Exterior: Tongue & Hitch: The tongue has been painted with POR (Paint over Rust). A new emergency brake pin and electric tongue jack has been installed. A weight distribution system and friction sway bars are included in the auction. These were purchased in June 2013. Propane: Include 2- 30 pound aluminum propane tanks. They are original and show scratching, but have been converted to the new valves and newly certified. Brakes & Tires: In December 2013 we had a professional shop look over and repair all the trailer brakes as well as re-pack the bearings. The shop also installed OEM shocks on all 6 tires. May 2014, we asked the same shop to inspect all tires. Upon their recommendation, we replaced 3 of the tires with new. The remaining 3 have at least 50% tread remaining. Stabilizing jacks, step, & sewer: These are original and in working order. The jacks show rust and do well when cranked by hand. We have not had luck using a drill attachment. The second step is missing one bolt. We bought an OEM bolt and it was lost in travel again. We always use one step and nerve miss the bolt. The key to the fresh water tank is missing and it can be opened with a flat screwdriver. Awnings: There are 3 original awnings. The large center awning has a tear near the middle brace that has been patched with awning tape. Two smaller awnings cover the rear bedroom windows. There are a 4th and 5th awning for the left side that have been removed because they were in disrepair. The holes have been filled with caulk. I have saved the awnings, but I think one of them is missing a part and the other requires substantial repair. If you would like these included please note in check out. Skin: Please look for following body damage in pictures. These are cosmetic and are not causing leaks nor affecting driving: Large dent in front left corner above window Large dent in rear left corner Large indented scratch on rear right corner mid-level Two large dents near right rear tire lowest panel. Moderate Hail damage on roof. The skin has been partially polished. This is a time-consuming and painstaking process that can be very expensive to have professionally done. We have removed the blue decals and stripped the clear coat. The first pass of polishing has been finished up with the exception of the roof. It normally takes three passes to achieve a mirror-like finish. This first pass gives the Airstream a modern, sleek look. We get lots of honks and “thumbs-up” from fellow drivers! Appliances: Batteries: 2 deep-cycle batteries purchased November 2012 Converter: New converter installed May 2014 Display panel: Original. Accurately shows tank capacity and time. LP gas and Battery condition not hooked up. Fans: 3 new “Fantastic” fans installed Summer of 2013 Pollution Alarm: Original. Working condition. Furnace: Original. Working condition, including duct work to the rear bedroom. New Thermostat. Stove/Oven: Original. Working order. Front panel was painted with liquid stainless steel. Door is loose. I use a bungee if baking. Front, right burner burns hot. Air Conditioner: New. Professionally installed March 2014. 15,000 watts. 12.5 amps. Hot water heater: New "Girard" Tankless hot water heater installed spring 2013. Bathroom vent: Vent will open, but fan does not run. Wi-Fi repeater: New "Jefa Tech" Antenna and repeater allows you to pick up existing wireless signals INSIDE the Airstream. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
