In December 2006, it was transferred and titled to a Trust Fund until now. For those who might not know, MONACO stands for top of the line RV, frequently found in Resorts and are of the most desirable coach today. Out of the Monaco brand, came the Dynasty, very much appreciated for their luxury line and design. The MONACO Dynasty has 10 (ten) models available that year but only 2 (two) have 4 slides ... the Bishop IV and the Platinum IV. Obviously, the MONACO Dynasty Platinum IV being the ultimate machine. Back in History: In 1972, an American car manufacture called AMC introduced the Hornet Sportabout GUCCI Package. Management had already decided that starting in 1972, the company would begin to introduce a series of fashion-designer interiors for most of their products. Pierre Cardin was asked to design an interior for the Javelin and Javelin/AMX. Levi's jeans would be the inspiration for a Levi's denim interior option for Gremlin and Hornet hatchbacks, and Jeeps, too. Aldo Gucci, a man who understood women's fashions, was a natural to create a fashionable interior for it. This classy look debuted for 1972 as an optional "Sportabout Gucci Package" available on Hornet wagons for an extra $141.80. The package included vinyl-upholstered front and rear seats emblazoned with a stripe design using Gucci's traditional green and red colors on an ivory background, with green bolsters. The theme was carried over to the sunvisors and handsomely striped door panels. Even the headliner was special: ivory and green with Gucci's trademark double-G pattern (except on cars ordered with the optional sunroof--those got a plain headliner). The option package also included Gucci emblems on the front fenders, and wider rocker panel moldings. To ensure design harmony, the exterior color choices were restricted to Hunter Green, Grasshopper Green, Snow White or Yucca Tan--the last two being good examples of AMC's whimsical tastes in names. According to reports, it took $10,000 and six months of work to create the special Gucci concept. AMC offered Gucci Sportabout production cars for just two years, 1972 and 1973. Thankfully, the company has provided us with production figures for both years. According to AMC, 2,584 Gucci Sportabouts were produced for the 1972 model year; another 2,251 were built for 1973. They make a unique collector car, and in a time of strong interest in station wagons, one that's sure to gather a crowd wherever it appears. Today: Even though, the Platinum Model comes with a Ralph Lauren Edition, the owner of this MONACO Dynasty fell in love with the concept, the originality and the reputation of such a designer, so he wanted to have a unique RV that would stand out of the crowd. And he did. Thus a MONACO Dynasty Platinum IV GUCCI Edition. Everything inside is truly original down to the detail. Fabric was imported from Italy such as the GUCCI bedding, the fabric around the windows, the throw over the sofa bed and even the stone for the custom floor. This is from far, the NICEST Monaco Dynasty ever and the only one ever made. Other nice and original features you will find on this coach are: Vinotemp wine cooler with digital temperature control and lighted inside for a warm evening sipping your favorite wineCustom fireplace with 2 stages heat and a remote control.Custom made natural oak lighted wet bar with a Jack Daniel's storage box.3 glasses rack underneath.Wine cellar adjacent to the fireplace, built in a custom all natural oak cabinetry adding extra storage. GUCCI ceiling in the bedroom with LED lights inside giving a cozy atmosphere. The color of the vinyl duplicates the Snow White and Yucca Tan colors. The double-G pattern is similar to the one found on the AMC Hornet headliner, wrapped in Gold fabric. In 2004: That year, Cummins was sending a letter to MONACO asking to inspect the lower unit of their engines for a leak. (see attached photo) Few weeks later, MONACO was issuing a letter to all dealers to recall all affected MONACO with the plug that could generate an oil leak. This particular MONACO has been recalled and repaired. (see letters in photos) Right after being purchased, the Cummins 400 ISL was upgraded to a 450 HP by a Cummins dealer. (see photo of invoice) In 2005: That year, lots or almost all RV manufactures, came facing a problem with their fiberglass bodies, which started having the paint checking. Lawsuits followed and few Monaco RV were repainted. Luckily, sometime in 2008, this coach was entirely repainted from top to bottom, front to back, using the original curved pattern from day one. The color code was respected to match. That translates by having a shiny body, reflecting the surrounding on it's sides or having no damages beside the normal wear. See the photos that speak for themselves. Also, the roof was repainted with an anti slippery white coating. Currently: Today, this Gorgeous MONACO Dynasty Platinum GUCCI is offered for sale at a reasonable price. It has ALL options offered by the manufacture except the 4 door fridge and the king size bed .... but it has the oversize passenger seat for instance and a 450HP Cummins. It's been appraised by 2 separate dealers and by the insurance company. Note that the insurance company DOES NOT take into consideration the upgrades or the customization ... they stay with the price from a base model. Appraisals are ranging from $182005 for the lowest to over $199000 for the highest. Just for the record .... the trading value is higher than the asking price. The maintenance is up to date as you can imagine. The RV spent his entire life in a garage to avoid the Florida humidity and there is NO mold, water spots, mildew, stains or rust on this coach (See photos). The list of upgrade is extensive and mentioned through out the list. Additionally, the piping has been redone in the entire coach from basement to water heater to faucets to water tanks and that's for the cold and hot water. NOTES: this MONACO is currently registered under a Trust Fund with the back of the Title signed off to me. It will be reassigned to the new owner. It might be possible that I register the RV under my personal name to make it easier if the new owner wants a financing. NOT my first option as I will like to sell it with the original Title. It won't be NO extra fees for the buyer if I have to transfer the Title.
