Screwless Exterior is now a standard feature on ALL HD model trailers. Screwless exterior forms a moisture barrier at each seam to prevent damage. Another advantage of the screwless exterior is the elimination of the "Wavy & Wrinkled" appearance other trailers get when a temperature change causes the exterior metal to expand or contract. These benefits help maintain the "Showroom Quality" look that Husky Cargo is known for.(2)5200 lb. Dexter Brand 4" Drop Leaf Spring Axles with Radial Tires (Ask our competitors how much the upgrade to Dexter Axles cost and you'll see the value of our STANDARD feature.)Forward Self Adjusting Brakes come standard on our axles which is not the norm in the trailer industry today. In fact, most trailers don't have self adjusting brakes at all.One Piece Aluminum Seamless Roof Our competitors use galvalume for their roof material which has seams every 4' and can rust, increasing the possibility of the roof leaking. Ask them how much the upgrade to an aluminum one piece seamless roof is and you'll see the real value of this as a STANDARD Feature.LED Lights on the Entire Exterior (not just the tail lights)36" Side Door Piano Hinged w/ RV Flush Lock with KeysRadial Tires (225/75/R15 "D" Rated 15" Tires) Last up to 5 times longer than the bias ply tires on our competitor's trailer.OTHER IMPORTANT STANDARD FEATURES:28' Floor Space plus 8' Riser Space for a 36' Overall LengthDOUBLE 8" I-Beam Main FrameRear Ramp Door with Spring Assist and Double Bar Lock16" Ramp Extension Flap6'6" Interior Height / 32" Height in RiserThermal Ply CeilingGooseneck CouplerTwo Speed Manual Landing Gear16" On Center Floor, Walls & Ceiling2 & 5/16" Gooseneck CouplerLED Turn SignalsHeavy Duty Welded Safety Chains7 Way Round PlugMolded Tag BracketBattery Backup Break Away Kit3/8" Finished PTS Plywood Walls (BEWARE of Luan walls. "CARGO TRAILER 101"Here are some important facts and information that many other trailer retailers will neglect to tell you in order to fool consumers into buying. 1.) Most manufacturers use Axles from China instead of American Made Axles. We only use Dexter Axles which are American made. Everybody knows Dexter Axles are the best. Ask other dealers how much it costs to upgrade to Dexter and you'll find out that it's not a cheap upgrade. Then ask if the axles they sell have self adjusting brakes? I'd be willing to bet their axles don't have self adjusting brakes. Most likely they won't know or will lie to try and get the sale. 2.) Make sure when they say LED lights, it's LED's on the entire exterior. Most dealers will say they have LED lights and in reality they only have LED Tail lights. There is a huge difference in the look of a trailer at night when it has nice LED marker, fender & tail lights. LED lights all around actually DO COST A TON MORE FOR THE FACTORY than regular incandescent lights. They also last so much longer and are much safer. We only use LED lights on the entire exterior of our trailers.3.) Look around at trailers you see on the road. You'll notice that when they are out in the sun, their trailer looks wrinkled and wavy. The only way you can solve this problem is to make the exterior screwless. This is an expensive upgrade on almost all trailers. We have a exclusive contract with 3M, the world's authority on adhesives, which allows us to make their VHB Screwless a standard feature on all HD trailers. 3M makes the material that holds the tiles in place on a space shuttle. That's the same material we use to attach the exterior skin to the frame. Another benefit of the screwless exterior is that you don't have to worry about screws vibrating loose and coming out. The two major disadvantages of the screwed exterior are the dimples in the metal the screws cause and the wrinkled or wavy look from being out in the sun. Our UNRESTRICED FRAME DESIGN allows the aluminum skin to expand and contract freely to maintain a sleek look without looking wavy or wrinkled. Every seam is sealed with the VHB. This also creates a moisture barrier decreases the noise and vibration in the trailer. Watch the video above and you'll see why 3M and Husky Cargo are building the best trailer on the market today. 4.) Almost all trailers have 3/4" plywood in the floor but often most other Manufacturers use CDX or a plywood with a lesser grade than A-B, which is cheaper plywood meant to be put on a roof and be underneath shingles to stay dry or in walls that are never meant to be walked on. Trailers should be built with A-B grade PTS Underlayment grade plywood. If you buy the cheaper plywood, you will have delamination occur. ASK your salesman to explain the type of plywood being used in the trailer he's selling. MAKE THEM WORK FOR YOU $$!5.) Most of the cheaper trailers are built with "Z" shaped thin stamped metal wall studs and hat shaped stamped roof cross members. They are just not as strong as the steel tubing. As a manufacturer that cares about its customers, Husky Cargo's HD series comes standard with rectangular steel tubing for the wall and ceiling frame to look out for its heavy duty users. This feature is provided at a high cost to the factory but we feel it's worth it.6.) Many dealers will over exaggerate when describing the features of their trailers like, "We have two bar locks with locking hasps bolted in with flush mount bolts.". That's a basic feature that is included on the majority of trailers. An important thing to watch for is to make sure that all the bar locks, locking hasps and other hardware are being bought overseas which are of a lesser quality. They will tarnish and not operate well after getting rained on a few times. Make sure that the hardware used in building your trailer is of the highest quality. We spend more money than anyone in the industry on our hardware to insure only the highest quality parts are used in building a Husky Cargo trailer. 7.) Another huge issue when buying a trailer is the roof. You might get lucky and get a trailer that never leaks, but we don't leave it to chance on our trailers. Our Heavy Duty Series has an expensive ONE PIECE 100% ALUMINUM ROOF WITH NO SEAMS that is SEALED with a 3M CERTIFIED PROCESS that PREVENTS LEAKING. Our competitors use a sealant caulk that wind and rain eventually erodes away and causes leaks. Depending on the mood of the roof guys the day your trailer is built, you may get roof sealant gobbed on the entire roof which will run down your trailer and streak after the first rain or you may get so little that you can't even it. Most trailers come standard with a "galvalume" roof which has a crimped seam every 4' and is sealed with the roof caulk. A trailer with a galvalume roof will inevitably rust & has the possibility to develop a leak especially on a trailer that is used regularly. Galvalume is made by combining steel and aluminum with steel being the base product creating the tendency to rust. The Aluminum One Piece Roof with the 3M Sealing System is superior to other roof systems because there are no seams to leak, the sealer doesn't erode away and aluminum doesn't rust. 8.) Frame Paint is a huge area that other factories cut corners on! We see tons of frames throughout factories in south GA where they are painted with cheap paint that fades, comes off and so little is put on that it literally starts rusting before the roof caulk can dry. Look under the trailer your buying. If its not completely painted, DO NOT BUY IT because you are going to end up paying more money to repaint the trailer so it doesn't rust apart on you. It's a shame but you'll probably have to go on a wild goose chase to find a trailer whose frame is painted to your expectations and our standards. These are just some of the things you need to be aware of when buying a trailer. At Husky Cargo, each member of our factory direct sales team is extremely knowledgeable about the cargo trailer industry. We know what to look for and will be glad to assist you so you can avoid buying a substandard trailer with out at least knowing it. REMEMBER WHEN YOU CHOOSE TO PURCHASE A PRODUCT YOU ARE REWARDING THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER FOR THEIR HARD WORK. MAKE THEM WORK FOR IT. ASK THE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS. MAKE THEM EXPLAIN TO YOU WHY THEIR TRAILER IS THE BEST. WE DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT. YOU DESERVE THE BEST AND WE HOPE YOU HAVE AN EXCELLENT BUYING EXPERIENCE.
