1998 Safari Trek Pathmaker , This is a 24 1998 Safari Trek Pathmaker Class A Motorhome. The motor is a Chevy Duramax diesel with 43,518 miles. When I decided to sell this I took it in and had is ACE certified inspected and they said everything looks/works fantastic and motor preesure tested like new. The interior layout has a big bathroom in the back with large corner shower, toilet, sink/vanity and LOTS of storage space, including a large closet w/drawers, cherry cupboards and a power vent fan. The kitchen area has a Dometic 3-way fridge, 3 burner Atwood stove top, range hood, Sharp microwave/convection oven, sink and a power vent fan. The living room area is up front right behind the cab with a couch on one side. On the other side is a table with 2 chairs. The table is 27 long but it also has two leaves that make it extend out to 52, or you can fold it completely down out of the way if you need the extra space. The bed in this is a Electromajic bed. During the day, it is flush against the ceiling over the living area and when it is bedtime it can be lowered with the push of a button. When you are done, push the button again to raise it back up. Other interior features include flat screen tv above the cab, oak flooring in the kitchen and bathroom, ducted AC, ducted forced air furnace and dsi gas hot water heater. The furnace also runs to the back and keeps the holding tanks warm so they wont freeze up in cold weather. Rig has a 14 ft power awning on the passenger side, a 5 1/2 ft awning over the living room window on the drivers side, double paned glass, power steps, power levelers, ladder for roof access, solar panel on roof to charge batteries, back up camera and an Onan Microlite 3600 LP generator with push button start from inside. 1997 Safari Trek Pathmaker 3060, 30' $16000 Front Entry, Center Kitchen, Center Bath & Closets, Rear Bedroom, 2 Tone Green/Cream, Spartan P72 Chassis, hydraulic leveler jacks and awnings all around. Sleeps 4-6, fantastic fan, awnings all around, 3.5 KW LP Generator, The coach has a built in freezer, three coach batteries and two chassis batteries, a battery charger maintainer and 2 flat screen TVs. I will include 6 new tires for the Trek. This unit was a GM lemon with cooling problems that resulted in engine failure at 14530 miles. A long block was installed followed by another overheating episode at 14969 miles which resulted in further engine damage. In 1999 GM bought the unit back from the original owner and salvaged the unit. This is documented by the GM Vehicle Inquiry System and the Carfax Report available on request. I bought the unit in July of 2002 from the salvage company with 17,000 miles on it with no warranty. The unit has a salvage title due to the manufacturer buyback under the lemon law but I have been able to insure the unit by producing the Carfax report that shows the Lemon buyback and no wrecks. GM upgraded the cooling system in 1997 with modifications that included dual thermostats and a high flow water pump to help cool the engine. I installed these modifications after purchase. Engine cooling was still marginal due to the chassis design which had the engine oil/transmission cooler which covered the whole radiator mounted in front of the radiator. With engine oil/transmission oil temperatures that get almost as hot as the water temperature in a diesel engine insufficient cool air was available to cool the engine in this rear engine design. To cure this problem, I moved the oil cooler to the front of the motor home and installed new transmission coolers in the side vents on tech side of the radiator. As colder weather came around I discovered it had a piston slapping on cold starts. It lasted another 7,000 miles of easy driving before the piston gave up. On 10/15/2005 at 23,825 miles a Diesel Depot Custom Remanufactured 2000 American General Engine was installed in the Trek. American General, the manufacturer of the Hummer bought this engine design from GM in May 1999 which had moved on to the Duramax for their production vehicles. AMG beefed up the main bearing webs so they could get more horsepower by decreasing the compression ratio and increase the boost to support the Hummers which had been fitted with armor making then significantly heavier and the UPS Truck fleet. This AMG 6.5 turbo diesel was upgraded with 18:1 Ceramic Coated Pistons, Ceramic Coated Heads, Phazer Gear Drive, new fuel Injection pump, GM-8 turbo with Turbo Master Boost Controller set @ 12 lbs boost, an Intercooler, 3.5 down pipe with 4" muffler and tail pipe, and a Heath max E-Tork chip. 5053210995

Very clean Safari Trek Pathmaker 33ft sleeps 6 adults and in excellent running condition it comes with a 7.3 Diesel pusher by International with 46,5267 miles and Allison transmission. Have recently done maintenance on engine and on the Onan generator with 285hrs . needs exterior coat but shows well . Just recently installed suspension airbags for a better ride and had thorough safety inspection done. Has 2 air-conditioning units one in the bedroom the other on main leaving area. Everything works including refrigerator , microwave/convection oven and range all work , must see to appreciate.

We are selling our beautiful 2001 Trek Safari 2480 Diesel Class A with 64,707 miles. The motorhome is in very good conditions, it's in great shape for a 2001. For those that are not familiar with the Treks, I want to clarify that they provide the comfort and luxury of a much larger coach in a very unique way. Treks do not have a "bed Room", they have an "ElectroMagic Bed" that is hidden away above your head until you need it to sleep. I much prefer this arrangement that allows the convenience and added safety of Driving a ten feet shorter coach. The magic bed in the photo goes down more than in the image. Everything works and several extras are included in the sale including a Front windshield Magne Shade ($487.00), flatscreen tv, a surround system, patio and window awning, Pathmaker package, beautiful mural on rear of coach, rear camera double pane window and much more. The quiet generator runs on propane and only has 202 hours. I just had the fiberglass roof sealed with two coats of an elastometric roof sealant, not because it needed it but as an added preventive maintenance. The motor and transmission sound and run beautifully. You can drive this coach with confidence to Alaska or anywhere you desire. Take it and have a pleasant adventure discovering the continent. The diesel safari treks are rare and more valuable, specially with the sought after slant nose. The diesel units original cost was over $110,000. Our asking price is very good considering it is a diesel. I cannot find another online lower. They are very well built (heavy duty fiberglass and thick aluminum) by Safari which is a division of Monaco. Everything on this coach is constructed of quality materials and was built to last.
