SE the special bus that It is:  Detailed Bus Description by Compartment Drivers Compartment: (2013-14) A completely new and redesigned Instrument cluster with all NEW AutoMeter Gauges adding a 5 inch Programable Speedometer. Much of the old wiring was removed and replaced, the R&M Fiberglass Dash was color coded to match the new upholstery, drivers and passenger seat. Brand NEW rocker switches replaced the old toggles and several new switches were added for extra comfort. The control labels were all CUSTOM and are Truly ONE-Of-A-KIND. I installed a NEW JVC DVD-CD-USB-6.1 Screen Bluetooth KWAV60BT with built in back up camera view and optional GPS through your I-Phone or Android. Note: The NEW Fuel Gauge is not programming properly for some reason..This is up to you to fix or not. The old working gauge comes with the sale. The Driver’s Seat is a Bostrom Air-Ride seat that has been reupholstered to match interior. The design is in favor of the older Ferrari GTS’s and Boxers. The passenger seat is a very cool hidden seat that can be pulled out when needed and hidden away when not. Seat belts are installed and are a true conversation piece when people see it. The seat was custom made to match the entire new interior of the bus. (See Pics) Many other things I am sure I just forgot. Over $6500 invested in this dash project within the last 6mos. Lounge Living Area: Just installed is a new Italian Styled Couch that has underneath storage. (This couch is custom built into the coach and not a regular couch) The ends are completed with REAL Granite Surface tops and solid Oak Cabinets. The secondary couch is a J-Style and is still in the old style Brown material. (This can be left as is or you can have it covered to match the rest. Our upholstery guy cannot do it anymore.) Underneath the j-couch is a lot of extra hidden storage and the fronts are finished in matching Oak cabinetry. The carpet was installed winter of 2012. Mounted is a 39” Visio HDTV and a RCA Blue Ray Home Theater Surround Sound System putting you right into the movies. 12 volt recessed lighting inside the ends of the slide that accent the Granite surface top when lit. A granite topped desk is custom built into the bus and can be used for a computer, sewing machine or just a nook. This area has a unique swivel rocker office type chair upholstered with same material as couch and drivers area. (See Pics)   Kitchen: Oak Cabinets and Granite countertops accent this useful kitchen equipped with an 8mo oldCuisinart Convection/Microwave and matching Cuisinart Coffee Pot (Grinder) (All in excellent working order) The White Ceramic Tile was installed late 2012 however there are a few places that need re-grouting. The Magic Chef Refrigerator was installed just before we purchased this in 2010. It works fantastic and has never given us any trouble. This kitchen has a deep double basin Stainless Steel Sink tapped with a long neck Mohen Faucet. Recessed lighting above sink look very nice and provide great lighting when using sink. When the granite was installed by the previous Canadian owner, he elected to remove the stove/oven and create more counter space so needless to say, this does not have a surface stove however, we use an induction heating plate by Nu’Wave PIC and it works great. It we will be included in the sale. I custom made another cabinet for added kitchen storage and it has a Formica surface to match the granite. This cabinet has a round end that swings open for an easy access pantry, silverware or other storage. Plenty of lighting in this kitchen from the Recessed lights, Florescent lighting and the Multi-directional lighting for times when you need direct light where you want it. Aside the refrigerator is more Oak Cabinets for storage or whatever you like and it is topped with matching Granite Surface top. Moving toward the rear: This 1968 Silver Eagle has a side Isle hallway which is untraditional of most coaches. This configuration is much better as it gives options for actual doors to close into the bedroom and bath. The hall is carpeted with a commercial style short hair carpet that looks nice but not new. The right wall is a type of carbon sheet that is very easy to clean and looks very nice. The left wall is all Oak and hides the Oak Pocket Door into the bath and bedroom. A light is mounted in the hall and an RV sliding window shaded by a Levlour Blind complete the hall. Bath: Mohen Faucets, Brass Framed glass Shower with Real Ceramic Tiles floor to ceiling. The toilet is a Real Ceramic RV style with foot pedal. Most is accented with the Solid Oak including the mirrored Oak medicine cabinet. Shower is a decent size and bigger than most conventional Diesel motorhomes. The bath also has a Ceiling Fan/Vent and one RV sliding window shaded by a Levlour Blind. Bedroom: Full size Bed on an Oak Base with built in Drawers underneath for extra storage. Under the bed center is even more storage for blankets etc. All Cabinets are Solid Oak and the head board is mirrored with duel light receptacles on both sides. An average size closet with 2 tears of poles for hanging cloths and shelving on one side all covered by a type of Oak Pocket Door. One 19inch Emerson HDTV mounted on the wall and a CD/AM/FM Stereo completes the entertainment in the bedroom. A Fantastic Fan is mounted in the roof that has a 14” opening that I was going to eventually add an A/C. I never got to it..In summer months, we put a fan in the hall to pipe the cool air into bedroom and it kept it tolerable up to the 90’s outside. Above that we opened the windows in bedroom and closed the door until evening. ( I do recommend having one installed though. I got a price to install a 13,000BTU for $1100 including labor.) You can find NEW A/C’s for under $700 if you shop around. Storage Bays: Gutted and rebuilt the #2 underneath storage bay with marine pressure treated plywood, new carpet, installed TWO Brand new roller bearing tool chests and custom made a cabinet separating the two for added hidden storage. I also added a 26” Visio HDTV, Visio Blue RaySMART Player and a new Visio Sound Bar for crisp clear TV or Music outside. The #1 storage bay has a Slide Master Roller Bearing storage drawer for easy loading of camping gear, tools or whatever you have. Soft lighted rope lighting edge the tool boxes and entertainment center for subtle ambient light. I have 3 brand new overhead lights NOT installed that goes with the sale. All together, over $4000 was spent JUST in the #1 and #2 Storage Bays. The rear #3 bay has: UPDATE – 4/25/2014, Newly reworked sewer bay #3 with a new Alluminum floor panel, changed water inlet and resealed all sewer lines along with making floor water tight for easy wash outs if you make a mess dumping tanks.. 1 100 Gal Grey Water Tank (Stainless Steel) 1 100 Gal Fresh Water Tank (Stainless Steel) 1 50 Gal Black Water Tank (Poly type material) 1 18 Gal Propane Tank (Mounted) 1 20 Gal Electric Hot Water Heater (Works Great) 1 Power Converter ( 110 Volts to 12 Volt ) Electric Water Pump for Dry Camping Engine Bay: 2 New House Batteries installed mid-summer 2013. A 7800 mile 8V71 Detroit Diesel with 318HP powers this Eagle and drives an Allison 4spd Automatic Transmission. The Bus sits on an Incased Rubber suspension called Torsilastic Suspension which gives one of the best rides in any bus. This suspension is in perfect working order and doesn’t lean like other worn out ones do. The shocks are undetermined of the age but appear to be in good condition. The Brakes have been upgraded to larger drums and shoes for better stopping power and many of the Air Lines and brake pods have been replaced within the last 5 years. Nothing suspension wise needs repair as far as I know. I have not heard any air leaks. When the new engine was installed, it was my understanding that larger injectors were installed for better power and increased fuel mileage. Pittsburgh Power is the Number one Detroit Diesel shop in the country and they have a reputation for getting more power out of Detroit Diesels and this one has calculated to get an average of 7-9MPG’s. This engine doesn’t smoke or make any unusual noises. At this point, it isn’t even leaking oil but as bus people, know, It will soon enough..The 8V71 is known for leaking oil and is a very real characteristic of all of them..it is the nature of these engines. I do not know what gear ratio the rear end is but I know there is moisture on the housing. (Probably just a Seal) The Engine Start Batteries (2) were replaced separately and one was installed new in early 2011 and the second was installed early 2012. Both are Heavy Duty 1000Amp Truck Batteries. I have never had any problems with them holding a charge since I replaced them. The engine start batteries have a Battery Disconnect Switch to help keep from draining while parked. That switch is located in the engine bay. The Exhaust system is Duel and the one muffler is about 4 yrs old and the other is undetermined but in good shape. I just replaced NEW, a Large Cast Iron Elbow connecting the exhaust manifold to the muffler. On Eagle Buses, there is a gear box that drives the belts to the fan and the alternator. They call these Miter boxes. The Miter Box will need a seal due to a slow leak..I never fixed it because it didn’t leak enough to warrant the effort changing it. I just kept it full of gear oil. Generator Compartment: The Generator is an EV6010 Honda Commercial RV Generator (6KW – Gas) that when running, it powered everything in the coach. My neglect for not starting regularly allowed the gas to gum up and clog the carburetor. I removed the Genie and had a Honda Small engine shop in Bowling Green take it to rebuild the carb and service it..Unfortunately when they were done, they advised me that it no longer would stay running when releasing the start button. A Honda EV 6010 Specialist said it needed a thorough cleaning of the STATOR and it should be fine, however this guy is 150 miles from me and I haven’t had time to take it to him for the repair. This is all I know about the genie accept the hrs on the counter show 440. The buyer will be responsible for getting this fixed themselves but the unit comes with the sale. This has a custom built 12 Gal Stainless Steel Gas Tank mounted in a Stainless Steel frame. Personally I stalled on making time to fix this since I wanted to get a Diesel Genie when I had the money. That never happened. Front Suspension: The front end seems to be in good working order, bushings, brakes, tie rods etc. This is equipped with Air-Assist Steering. The steering box appears to have minimal steer play about maybe 3-4 inches but drives straight and smooth down the road.. Exterior: The paint on this is Black Cherry Imron Basecoat Clear Coat that has peeling on upper 12 inches of the bus. Although it does need paint to be really nice, the existing looks ok to use now and the sides shine nice. Chips and little imperfections are evident all through the paint finish but still looks pretty good. All of the Alluminum Siding was replaced I understood back in 2005. The 24.5 Wheels made by Alcoa and are from a Freightliner Classic semi truck. All of them shine up to a lusteruos shine and are in good shape. The 2 inside rear wheels are standard steel wheels. The Bumpers on this coach are 1967 model 01's and the upper front and rear caps are 1968 model 05's. The Silver Eagle has served us very well and NEVER let us down but times are changing and our situation and ideas have changed some. Lots of buses out there but none like this one. Please read all of the above very carefully before calling. I wanted to note the problems I know of and they are: Miter Box needs a Seal ( Easy Fix but only leaks a little ) Paint on Upper Half has clear-coat peeling from the hot sun in Florida. Sides are OK but not perfect. Still looks very presentable The EV 6010 Honda Generator with 440 hrs needs repair ( It doesn’t work currently ) I was going to replace with Diesel generator but never got to it. Best Features Summary are: 11ft Slide and it works great with no Leaks The Engine has under 10,000 Miles ( 8V71 Detroit non-Turbo ) Runs Great and Starts every time with touch of switch and DOES NOT SMOKE AT ALL..
