Winter escape pod. I am selling our 1998 VW Rialta. It has the V6 engine, two twin beds, fridge, furnace, bath/shower. Everything is in good working order with the exception of the on board generator (it turns over but does not start. I have not had it looked at as we never needed it) and the power locks do not work. (I spent $400 for diagnostics to get them working but they failed to get them to operate. they do work manually). Everything else is in good working order and the coach is in excellent condition. It comes with a rear luggage rack for storage and it only has 88k miles on it. 16 to 22 mpg. I am asking 27,900. Please contact me if you wish to take it for a test drive.

This 1996 VW Rialta has a newly re-built motor (not original motor) and transmission with a 1 year parts and labor warranty from Asheville Vee-Dub. The interior is in great shape. No water leaks, etc... The left side of the rear bumper is missing. I originally bought this RV for parts for my Rialta. Chris at Asheville Vee-Dub was able to restore this one.It is perfect for 2 people. It has a kitchen, Bath and 2 single beds. A front area with a swivel chair. Rialta's get great gas mileage. It's small enough to fit in a regular parking space and has a big window in the back that makes backing easy. It is so easy yo drive!!

I know what you are thinking, thats too much money for a Rialta. If this was the average Rialta you would probably be right. This is not your average Rialta. I have gone over this baby with a fine tooth comb and fixed or replaced anything that needed it and modified or added anything I could think of to ensure long lasting and complete functionality. I wanted this to be the ultimate Rialta so I read up on the forums about any and all fixes and modifications that would be necessary to achieve this goal. This has got them all and then some. These include but are not limited to: Transmission cooler with bypass valve, Scangauge with reset switch, Weatherproof socket with detachable shoreline, 30 amp automatic transfer switch, Fiamma F65s case awing with full length Laika Kreos bracket, custom fabricated welded in axle stiffener, custom maple hardwood floors over MLV sound deadener, custom underbed storage with removable bins, automatic cabinet and closet LED lights, LEDs in all interior fixtures, automatic reset high limit switch on water heater, retractable entry step, custom fabricated heavy duty dump valve gaurd, custom passenger side headboard with entry grap bar, auxilliary outlets in entry way and rear shelf area, customized floor plan (removed useless night stand between beds, moved and enlarged drawer to entry way, shifted water tank to passenger side to help equalize weight distribution), home theater system with 32" LED TV/DVD mounted on custom fabricated fold away bracket attached to ceiling and matching sound bar with subwoofer, Winegaurd Sensor Pro signal amp, Fanchers custom windshield cover, Anita's custom shower curtain, Bob's custom shelf / sink gasket, tinted windows with windshield strip, new deep cycle coach batteries, new engine battery, new Vanco 2 215s all around including spare, adjusted ride height, professional alignment, the list goes on. On order is a Progressive Dynamics 45amp converter with charge wizard for the coach batteries and a Deltran Battery Tender Junior for the engine battery. All work done by me in my shop since I bought it in May 2013 when it had just over 20,000 miles on it. I used to have a 99 HD so I had some experience and knew about Rialtas. I originally planned for this to be a keeper but my priorities have changed. Its been a great project and lots of fun but now its time for someone else to enjoy it and all the work I put into it. As you may know 2005 was the last year for the Rialta and this one came from the factory with all the options: leather seats, 16" chrome alloy wheels, high capacity roof A/C with heat strip, Onan microlite generator (121 hrs on it ), 201 hp V6 with lots of torque that gets 15 to 19 mpg. Everything works, all system funtion properly, it needs nothing. I don't think you could find one in better condition much less one with all the extras. I'd put it up against anything Rialta Heaven has to offer. This beauty runs and drives like a dream and is ready to go anywhere.
