Manufacturers Title and 5 Year Warranty Included FOR MORE INFORMATION CALL: 863-266-4200 Cargo Trailer 101 Here’s some important information to consider when buying an enclosed trailer. We’ll let you know what some of the other retailers do to cut corners, why you should be aware of it, and what to look for and avoid. AXLES Other trailer retailers will use axles manufactured in China instead of the United States. A key issue to consider with regard to axle brands is whether or not you can get parts for it, and whether or not its easily serviceable. Many of the off brand axles like Lippert, or other Chinese manufactured axles, have limited to no part availability. Most dealers have never even heard of the American made axles! CHASSIS It’s much cheaper to build a trailer with a thin wall “junior i-beam” in the chassis, and many of our competitors choose to do it! We use a very heavy duty closed end rectangular tubing in our chassis. Trust us on this one, the difference is clear. Watch what happens when we put OUR heavy duty rectangular tubing to the test against THEIR “junior i-beam”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIl6RYewN8Y LIGHTING Other manufacturers and retailers will advertise that their trailers have LED lighting. The truth is, a lot of the time the only LED lighting on their trailers are the tail lights. There is a HUGE difference in the look of a trailer at night when it has nice, bright, LED marker lights and fender lights surrounding the exterior. LED lights cost a factory a lot more money and that’s why the other guys will cut corners. We’re more concerned with building you the best trailer that we can. EXTERIOR Almost all of our competitors make their trailers with .024 aluminum on the exterior that’s been screwed to the side of the trailer with steel screws. As the temperature fluctuates, that aluminum can expand and can eventually look wrinkled. After that, your trailer may have gaps between the aluminum that air, water, and debris can pass through to the interior. A trailer that has sheet metal screwed to the exterior gains NOTHING in structural integrity. More-so, often times if the trailer flexes, it will cause the sheet metal to tear or break around the screw! Many of our competitors even give their customers a bag of screws as a care package with the sale of a trailer so you can put screws back in as they fall out! Our screwless exterior trailers use incredibly strong 3M adhesives to secure the entire piece of sheet metal to the trailer exterior forever. No gaps, no screws to vibrate out as the trailer flexes, and no wrinkles. In fact, the sheet metal is so well attached to the exterior on our screwless trailers that it even provides structural integrity, limiting the trailers ability to flex. If you’re looking at our Pup Series and would like to upgrade to a screwless exterior, just tell your sales representative! ROOF CONSTRUCTION Most trailers today are built with a product that the industry calls “Galvalume” Roofing. That’s a pretty name for a thin piece of steel sheeting with crimped seams every 4 feet that has a been coated to prevent rusting. The best product for your roof is obviously aluminum, but most factories won’t use it for roofing because it’s too expensive. Regardless of which material they use on larger trailers, the roofing can “flutter” in the wind, make noise, and eventually wear on the roofing material. For ALL of our 8.5 wide trailers (and also available on other sizes as an upgrade) we make our roofs from a thermo-ply or aluminum material laminated to sheet metal. This method keeps the roof from fluttering and wearing and it also makes the trailer quieter and cooler! If you step inside a trailer of one of our competitors and look up, you’ll see a raw wood strip down the center of the trailer and seams in their roofing every 4 feet. If you step inside a Husky Car Hauler, you’ll see that the roof is light, clean, and uniform. HARDWARE Be on the lookout for all those bar-locks and other hardware that our competitors source from overseas countries. It will tarnish, rust, and poorly perform after a few good days of rain. Trust us, we’ve seen it. No amount of WD40 can fix poorly made overseas hardware. ROOF SEALANT One of the most expensive investments factories make in roofing is roof sealant. A good quality sealant will last in any weather for the life of the trailer. Some competitors push their craftsmen to use LESS sealant in manufacturing, or they buy substandard sealing products to cut back on their cost. The premium way of sealing a roof today is with 3M’s VHB system. The VHB system works with a specified amount of bonding material (so corner’s can’t be cut) and won’t erode over time. Additionally, the factory whose products we sell have a machine that dumps a HUGE amount of water on the roof of each trailer before they’re shipped to ensure that the roof doesn’t leak. PAINT Here’s one of the biggest areas that a manufacturer can skimp on. We see hundreds of frames at various factories in Florida where cheap paint is used on the frame. Because of the type of paint and the poor coverage during the painting process, it quickly fades and often they’re literally rusting before they’re finished building the trailer! Take a look under the trailer you’re thinking about buying and if it’s not COMPLETELY painted… DON’T BUY IT. We use the same paint used in the automotive industry and pride ourselves in this area because we know its importance. Remember, when you choose to purchase a product you are rewarding the manufacturer and dealer for their hard work. You deserve the best and we hope you have an excellent purchasing experience.

Powered by eBay Turbo Lister The free listing tool.
