Palazzo Bunk House For Sale at the Right Price First thing you need to know is this fabulous Palazzo is priced at least $5,000.00 under any comparably equipped 2013 Thor Palazzo Bunk House – if not we will adjust our price so we are under the competition by $5,000.00! So you are guaranteed buying a the Right Price. Second, although we had a marvelous time in this well-equipped Class A diesel pusher, as I approach 80 years young, my Doctor son tells me it’s simply time to sell. We added every option offered plus some. Send me your email address and I will send you the original Thor window sticker equipment list. Again we will beat any price! So, if you have a bunch of kids or group of adventuresome adults that wish to travel in comfort and with plenty of great sleeping areas then my Palazzo is the right diesel pusher motor home for you. It’s simply the best floor plan; the best designed motor home for crating around a large family or showing young folks this great nation. This model is in short supply but this nearly new Palazzo is ready Right Now. Travels This chocolate and black full body painted rig which we purchased new, about 18 months, ago has served us exceptionally well. We have traveled extensively with one or two of our four married kids and those great grandkids. During that time we toured and camped in National Parks in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, California, and Washington, Oregon and toured Washington D.C. and camped at various campgrounds in Michigan, Ohio, and Florida. This past fall my wife and I spent over two months retracing the Lewis & Clark Expedition. Captain Meriwether Lewis started this greatest of adventures by launching his keel boat in Pittsburgh on August 31, 1803. Exactly, 211 years to the day later we started from that very same location and 65 days later we stood, hopefully, on the exact same spot when Captains Lewis & Clark stood along with one woman and the men of the Corp of Discovery and viewed the Pacific Ocean for the very first time; binding this great nation from sea to shining sea. You just got to do this – it’s a great adventure. Comfort & Convenience Here’s a general overview with more details below. We have lots of sleeping arrangements and in particular bunk beds that young folks really love. All beds are comfortable and well placed. There are two slide outs, a super large residential refrigerator, microwave/convection, three burner LP stove, lots of counter space and a bathroom with a shower that accommodates our 6’4” sons. The cab area is well equipped with all controls at the driver’s fingertips such as the auto leveling system, generator start, and stop, read outs that tell you everything about the engine and more. The Mercedes Benz, Freightliner chassis, with a 300 HP Cummins diesel engine drives and handles smoothly and easily. The captain’s chair electronically moves every which way and both cab chairs, at the flip of a lever, easily turn to face inward. There are five (5) TV, a sound bar and a Sirius ready radio that is piped throughout the coach. To add to the comfort we found a remote radio controller so you can manage the radio from anywhere; oddly the relatively inexpensive feature was not provided by Thor Motor Coach. The exterior has plenty of storage with one large pass through and a slide tray, compartments for electronics, mechanical, and the wet bays are easy to manage. One feature I particularly like is the exterior access doors are hinged on the side so you don’t have to crawl under a door to access any bay. Specifications Thor Motor Coach Inc. Trailer HitchFantastic FanStacked Bunk Beds Everyone is impressed with the sleeping arrangements, size, and convenience. Of course, kids love the bunk beds. There are two stacked 2’4” by 6’2” bunks with private reading lights, their own TV with integrated DVD player, a power source, and windows. To climb up onto the upper bunk you have a cute light aluminum ladder. Power from the 2,000 watt inverter is always available to keep those darn electronic devices powered up all the time. When traveling the upper bunk, with the release of two quick levers, drops down providing a large sofa with back support. And if that isn’t enough for travel when you are not using the upper bunk these is a hanger bar so you have an additional 6’ of hanging closet space in addition to the other four (4) hanging closets. We have never come close to filled all the closet space but if you’re a cloths horse this may be very handy. And under the lower bunks these are two reasonable spacious drawers as well as limited storage across from the bunk. Over-The-Cab Bunk Kids also love the over the cab bunk. This is truly unique in that the bunk is nu-noticeably stored above the cab. Really, if you did know it was there you would never guess it’s another bunk bed. With the push of a button the entire over the cab ceiling glides down and you have another sleeping area. This was a $2,025.00 extra. This bed is large; nearly the size of the queen bed which is 5’ by 6’8”; this over-head bunk is 4’6” by 6’2.” To climb up kids can either pretty much jump up on to the bed or use, what they always prefer, the neat little ladder. You have two ladders one to access the over the cab bunk and the other is to climb up on to the upper bunk of the two stacked bunks. Beds This Class A motor home can comfortably sleep 10: two (2) adults on the queen size bed in the main bedroom which has a 5’ by 6’8” mattress; two (2) adults or two (3) small kids can sleep on the over-the-cab bunk which is 4’6” by 6’2”; one (1) kid in each of the stacked bunk beds which are 6’2” long by 2’4”wide; two (2) adults or two (2) teenagers can sleep on the pull out couch which folds out into a 4’ by 6’2” bed and one (1) adult or two (2) kids can sleep on the converted dinette which turns into a 3’ by 6’ sleeping area. Note that some of the sleeping dimensions differ on factory produced literature. Both the converted dinette and the converted sofa come with an air mattress so everyone is sleeping on a smooth flat seamless comfortable mattress for a good nights rest. Electrical A unique feature is the 2,000 watt inverter which converts DC battery into AC current so you have 120 v electrical power all the time. And you don’t need to manually turn on your Onan quiet generator to re-charge your batteries – this is done automatically. When batteries get low the Magnum auto electric controller automatically turn on the diesel generator – so you never will run out of electrical power. And since the Onan generator is fueled by diesel you never have to worry about trying to find a scarce LP filling station. And your Onan will never use up all your diesel supply; the generator automatically shut down when your diesel fuel gauge falls below ¼ tank. Since you carry 90 gallon of diesel you will be comfortable that with around 22 gallons of diesel remaining in your tank you are able to drive around 250 miles to the next diesel fueling station. This Onan quiet generator also meets the National Park Service sound standard while lighting up and running everything in the coach including the two 13,500 BTU roof mounted ducted air conditioners. And the generator is located in the front of the motor home. Entertainment In total there are five (5) TVs and a Sony sound bar. Plus it has an exterior 32” flat screen TV, optional cost was $1,478.00. As noted each bunk bed has its own TV with individual DVD player – wow do kids love that. And you have that AM/FM/MP3/CD/Satellite Radio with the remote radio controller as well as a cell phone charging station. From the Cockpit The driver has control over three (3) color backup cameras: full rear view, one showing the full passenger side and the other the full driver’s side. The driver has no blind spots. The captain’s chair goes every which way and easily turns to face the interiors. Mercedes Benz Engineering – Freightliner Chassis The ease of driving and the turning radius of the Freightliner chassis (designed and engineered by Mercedes Benz) is fabulous. The 300 hp Cummins diesel with the 6 speed Allison MH-2100 automatic transmission provides quick pick up and smooth cruising. The unit is built on a Freightliner XC Straight Rail Class A Diesel Pusher Motor home chassis. Stopping power comes from full air front disc and rear drum anti-lock brakes, along with an exhaust brake. The vacubond laminated roof, walls and floor come with high-density block foam insulation that does a great job of keeping the chill out. Adding to the comfortable ride are 22.5” tires and making it look great are the stainless steel wheel liners. All this and the Sachs shock absorbers give you a very comfortable ride. Kitchen Another unique feature of the inverter is the large 18 c.f. Whirlpool refrigerator with ice maker and it runs on 120 volts so you never have to rely upon LP level. I would assume that all future refrigerators will run via an inverter. You get a larger refrigerator, at less cost and it is a more efficient use of power. Water The toilet is a China Bowl and the spacious shower has a sliding glass door. The bath has its own heat vent. The shower is 36” by 30” shower with a nice size medicine cabinet and lots of towel racks. Service I will be glad to answer any questions you have. The motor home is in either Fort Myers, Florida or Pittsburgh. All service records are available. The Palazzo has no damage, no deterioration; no one smoked in the rig, not hard shoes and no pet has ever trod the floor. Teenagers and grand-kids have enjoyed the ride and scenery as well as adults. For more information contact Pasquale “Pat” Verona, via email [email protected] or at 724-514-6330 or 239-464-7318. We will be in either a small town south of Pittsburgh or in Fort Myers, Florida or traveling around this great nation. Don't forget to ask me how you can legally avoid paying sales tax on the purchase of this motor home. This is my 5th motor home and I have never paid sales tax. Best of all its legal.
