Home built in 2011. Never really used. I bought an RV during the time I was building this and the RV suits our needs better than the teardrop for long duration trips. This is great for weekend trips and such. Only use was when my wife camped out in it for a night with a couple of our grandkids. They Loved It! It is constructed with 3/4" plywood walls and floor and 1/4" plywood top. It is skinned with FRP (Fiberglass reinforced Panel). The trim is aluminum and side trim is poplar wood with Marine varnish on it. The screws are galvanized and the trim washers are stainless steel and they are sealed with clear silicone. It sat outside all last summer thru some torrential rains and and I found no leaks. It is wired with 12 volt dc and interior has a two position (one light or two) fixture and there are also outdoor porch lights over the doors. The galley area in the rear has two 12 volt dc power plugs as well as an ac outlet should you want to hook up at a campsite. It has a deep cycle marine battery and I have also included two solar dc chargers and an ac battery charger. This battery holds a charge for a LONG time! Battery is stored in its own compartment in the galley area. The interior sleeping area measures 75" by 47" so if you are under 6ft. 3 you should be able to stretch out fine. The walls and floor are carpet covered and the ceiling is also FRP. It has a one speed crank open/close vent fan in the ceiling and is powered by 12 volt dc. There is a cabinet that has two storage compartments that have doors on them and an open center area so you can put a tv or laptop in there should you desire and be able to watch a movie or whatever. I planned to use my laptop there and play movies thru that. Also there is a shelf on the top of the cabinet. There is also another dc power plug in one of the storage areas and an access hole to run a wire thru. The interior also has curtain rods installed above the doors. A 4" memory foam mattress works great in this according to the wife and grandkids. Mattress DOES NOT come with this! I used that in my RV! The frame I used was a new bolt together frame that is rated for 1980 lbs. Plenty for a rig this size. The frame also has a 1000 lb torsion axle on each side for a total 2000 lb rating. Those were also new when I built this. Also new were the aluminum wheels and tires. Tires are Trail Express 205/175R14 trailer tires. There is virtually zero miles on them. Actually all parts of this unit were new when built and as I have stated this was really never used. This unit weighs in the neighborhood of 700 lbs so it would be easy towing even for a small car to tow. The diamond plating is not real metal. It is plastic diamond plate over plywood but could be used for patterns to have actual aluminum diamond plate made. All in all , not a bad little rig if you are looking for a tent on wheels! It is home made and maybe not as fancy as a "Store bought" one but then again, the price isn't anywhere near what the store bought ones cost. If you use the Buy It Now feature, I will include a nice new in the box Flushable Loo porta potty and two boxes of new liner bags. Also will throw in a new never used pop up privy tent that can be used to place the loo in or be used for a changing room or even a portable shower if you buy one of those solar shower bags to hang in it! This is a home built unit and is sold as is. No warranties are included. ALSO >>> This unit is available for sale AND pickup only until July 8th and will not be available again until August. One of a kind new, unused custom built Teardrop Camper. My neighbor and I completed the trailer in 2014 but did not list it since it was out of season. Please note. This camper was not built on a hardware store "utility" trailer that was designed to haul a lawnmower, boat, lumber, or other items. This is truly a custom built camper from it's tubular steel frame to it's cherry wood cabinets. The steel frame was professionally welded and designed for proper weight distribution and proper tongue weight for safe towing. The cherry cabinets were built by a professional wood-craftsman for beauty, proper fit, and long lasting durability. The camper was was built to look like a mid 1950's Benroy teardrop camping trailer. It is a 2 door 5x10 camper with a queen size bed interior and a kitchen in the rear hatch. There is an electrical hookup on the side for the built in battery charger and the 120 volt AC outlets in the cabin and in the hatch. There are also 12 volt DC outlets in the cabin and hatch for the TV, gaming, and phone charging. There are 2 propane tanks on the front which are hard piped to the rear hatch for the stove. The trailer connector is a standard 7 pin connector. The camper has lots of storage in the cabin and in the hatch. The cabin has beautiful custom built Cherry wood cabinets with really nice hardware and magnetic latches. The walls are cherry veneer and the ceiling is pickled/white washed tongue and groove boards. The floor is an easy to clean vinyl linoleum which will be covered by a queen size mattress. The mattress is not included due to your personal preference. There are AC and DC outlets are in the TV area. The lighting in the cabin includes 2 reading lights, a dual overhead light fixture, and a mood light under the shelving. A new 12 volt LED HDTV DVD Combo is included and has all of the latest technology inputs for video, gaming, and more. There are two sealed battery compartments under the floor. There is a 12 volt Fantastic fan and screens on the doors for ventilation. The cabin lighting is controlled by a 3 position switch just inside each door for easy access from either side of the trailer. The exterior is made from aluminum sheeting, trim, fenders, and stainless steel screws. There is a polished aluminum tread-plate in the front for a gravel guard. Both doors have keyed (alike) teardrop chrome handles and windows with screens. There is an exterior light above each door which is switch controlled from inside the door. It has LED taillights, standard backup lights, and running lights which are all replicas of mid-50's lights. There is a full size spare tire and wheel under the trailer and it is cable controlled for lowering and raising. It has a rolling trailer jack on the tongue and 2 stabilizer jacks under the rear of the trailer. The kitchen in the hatch also features custom built Cherry cabinets. It has an aluminum counter-top with a cutting board access to the below storage area. The cutting board can used with the cooler in place or completely removed to put or take larger items out of the lower storage area. The 34K BTU Camp Chef stove slides out of the cabinet on the left and includes a 3 sided aluminum wind break. There is a stainless sink with an automatic water pump. It has a 7 gallon fresh water tank and a 7 gallon gray water tank with a drain under the rear of the trailer. The kitchen is well lit with 2 dome lights. The trailer has a Dexter torsion axle for a smooth ride and features their EZ lube hubs. The wheels are 15" Crager chrome smoothies with baby moon hubcaps. The classic Coleman cooler, 12 Volt HDTV, full siize spare tire/wheel, propane tanks, and one 12 Volt battery are included. Notice! This trailer has never been registered or titled. In Tennessee, it can be registered as a home built trailer. You will need to check with your local DMV regarding questions to registering home built trailers.
